Standard Combining the theories of Kaluza-Klein and Dr Randall Mills

apologies for using english, please feel free to reply in german, google translate on chrome does an excellent job.

jay yablon is currently exploring kaluza-klein's 5D work (x, y, z, time, cylinder-loop) and he is working on the hypothesis that, actually, the 5th dimension (cylinder-loop) does not really exist, but that there is still definitely something going on where matter is definitely getting into an infinite loop, giving the *appearance* that there "must be" a 5th (looped) dimension.

the wikipedia page puts this in a non-obvious way, but gives some very very interesting clues:

Zitat:
Kaluza's original hypothesis was purely classical and extended discoveries of general relativity. By the time of Klein's contribution, the discoveries of Heisenberg, Schrödinger, and de Broglie were receiving a lot of attention. Klein's Nature paper [4] suggested that the fifth dimension is closed and periodic, and that the identification of electric charge with motion in the fifth dimension be interpreted as standing waves of wavelength {\displaystyle \lambda ^{5}} \lambda ^{5}, much like the electrons around a nucleus in the Bohr model of the atom.
so the 5th dimension - the "kaluza miracle" - comes out to be exactly the electric charge of partlcles, and it's also *standing waves*.

...hold that thought...

here, jay has published another interesting draft:
http://www.sciphysicsforums.com/spfb...1&p=8071#p8071

and in that draft paper, jay comes to the insight that "electro-magnetism can be seen as "amplified gravitational interactions" because the mass has gone multiple times round the kaluza-klein fifth dimension".

which is a side-effect of his work which points out that there *is* no need for the 5th dimension: 4 dimensions (x,y,z, time) are sufficient... i do not entirely follow the details.

now, let's look at dr randall mill's work. mill's work is based on the hypothesis that particles comprise elliptically-polarised photons that have got into an infinite circular standing-wave loop. also that current loops project outwards again in circles, forming a perfect sphere that, fascinatingly, has a uniform current distribution (current magnitude at any one point is equal at all points on the sphere). also that the EM field is NON-RADIATING otherwise the energy would dissipate like a balloon (and there would be no particle).

what is the common theme between Kaluza-Klein and Dr Randall Mill's work? they both require photons to be on an infinite circular loop in a standing wave pattern.

i would be interested to hear peoples' thoughts.
