Leon Rosenfeld letter to P.G. Bergmann, 21-December-1959
Leon Rosenfeld was a close collaborator of Niels Bohr's, with whom both Hugh Everett and John Wheeler discussed Everett's work. After the initial debate with Bohr and his collaborators, during which nether side was convinced of the other's position, Rosenfeld took the role of defender of the faith. In a series of letters to various physicists, Rosenfeld harshly criticized Everett and his work. Here Rosenfeld reports the Copenhagen line on Everett's thesis to an industrial physicist in Massachusetts.

Leon Rosenfeld letter to John Bell, 30-November-1971
Leon Rosenfeld was a close collaborator of Niels Bohr's, with whom both Hugh Everett and John Wheeler discussed Everett's work. After the initial debate with Bohr and his collaborators, during which nether side was convinced of the other's position, Rosenfeld took the role of defender of the faith. In a series of letters to various physicists, Rosenfeld harshly criticized Everett and his work. Here Rosenfeld replies to Bell's preprint "On the Hypothesis that the Schroedinger Equation is Exact," in which Bell discusses Everett. Rosenfeld continues to be dismissive of Everett, even on Bell's reconstruction.

Die Wortwahl zeigt doch eindeutig, um was es geht: wer nicht linientreu denkt, ist ein Häretiker und verbreitet Unsinn; um das zu verhindern, werden die Schriften und die Autoren diffamiert.

Niels Bohr brainwashed a whole generation of theorists into thinking that the job (interpreting quantum theory) was done 50 years ago.
